“I am so exhausted when I get home from work, I have no energy to workout.”
Ok, I get it – I really do. Remember, I am pregnant and working full time and my work is very physical so I get the whole tired thing. I really do. And this is something I hear from at least half of the people I work with so clearly you are not alone.
BUT, in order to give yourself more energy, you’ve got to get yourself in a healthier state of being. You cannot simply sit on the couch and wait for the energy to come to you. It won’t. You’ve got to grab it by the gills and create it.
The hardest part about exercising is actually starting. Once you put on the clothes and start moving, you are golden. When you are done- you will be so glad you did it and feel a sense of accomplishment. I am not saying overnight you will miraculously feel like a new person but it doesn’t take long to feel the difference.
Exercise and creating healthy eating habits will give you more energy, create better sleep habits and guess what – you could actually lose that weight you’ve been wishing away without success.
If you are trying to get your workouts in after work without success, get up 30 minutes earlier and do it then. I know it will be tough at first but you will have more energy throughout the day and probably sleep better at night. You will also be more likely to make better eating choices because you won’t want to ruin the good foot you started the day on.
